Why?
In nature, there are almost no natural nesting holes or dead wood anymore. By setting up nesting boxes for birds and bats or other nesting aids, the animals can find appropriate refuge to nest in.

How?

• Many nature preservation associations sell nesting boxes and bat boxes.
• Ideally, nesting boxes and bat boxes should be hung facing east.
